The LCI 5-2-1 Warranty: Your Peace of Mind Guarantee

Coverage Starts: All warranty periods begin on the date of completion.

5-Year Hardscape Workmanship Warranty

LCI Landscapes warranties our hardscape installation workmanship for five (5) years. This covers settling, shifting, and failure caused by defective installation/workmanship for patios, walkways, and retaining walls installed by LCI.

What this means: If a hardscape issue is determined to be caused by our workmanship, we will repair or replace the affected portion as outlined under “What We Will Do.”

2-Year Plant Health Guarantee

LCI Landscapes warranties trees and shrubs we supply and install as a one time replacement for two (2) years, and perennials for ninety (90) days, subject to the conditions below.

Plant Guarantee Conditions (required to keep coverage in place):

• Proper watering and basic care during establishment
• Irrigation system (if present) is operated and seasonally adjusted appropriately
• No damage from pets/wildlife, mowers/string trimmers, vehicles, vandalism, or chemical misuse
• No extreme weather events or conditions beyond our control (drought, flood, severe storms, freeze damage)
• No changes to grading, drainage, soil, or site conditions by others that impact plant performance

Not Covered Under Plant Warranty (Sod and Seeding)

Sod, seed, and hydroseed (and any related germination/establishment results) are not covered under this plant health guarantee due to variables outside our control, including watering consistency, weather, soil conditions, shade, foot traffic, pet damage, and irrigation coverage.

Irrigation Warranty (if installed, repaired, or modified by LCI)

2-Year Irrigation Workmanship Warranty (New Systems Only)

LCI Landscapes warranties workmanship on newly installed irrigation systems for two (2) years from date of completion, provided the homeowner uses LCI Landscapes for annual winterization services during the warranty term.

90-Day Irrigation Workmanship Warranty (Repairs, Add-Ons, Refurbishments)

All irrigation repairs, add-ons, modifications, or refurbishments performed by LCI Landscapes are covered for ninety (90) days from date of completion.

Irrigation Warranty Conditions and Exclusions

This irrigation warranty does not cover issues caused by:

• Freeze damage or lack of proper winterization (including winterization performed by others)
• Damage from mowers, aeration, edging, digging, pets/wildlife, vehicles, or vandalism
• Water supply/pressure changes, well or municipal supply issues, or electrical/power issues not caused by LCI workmanship
• Clogged nozzles/filters, debris in lines, or water quality issues
• Alterations, adjustments, or repairs performed by others
• Normal seasonal adjustments (coverage, programming, run-time) unless included in a written service agreement

1-Stop Service (Manufacturer Warranty Support)

Many products we install carry manufacturer warranties. LCI Landscapes will assist by managing the manufacturer warranty claim process on your behalf (documentation, coordination, and communication) for the duration of the warranty.

Workmanship and Materials Standards (Applies to all warranty items)

• Workmanship: All work will be completed in a good and workmanlike manner and in compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Materials supplied: Materials we supply will match the specifications in your proposal/contract (type, size, quantity, and stated specs). Plant availability may require substitutions based on what’s available at the time of ordering/installation.

Included Post-Install Follow-Up Service (30-60-90)

To help protect your investment, LCI includes follow-up visits at approximately 30, 60, and 90 days after completion (weather and seasonality permitting) to check and fine-tune:

• Plant health (including animal repellent): We’ll take reasonable steps to support plant health, which includes applying animal repellent
• General structure integrity and settlement observations
• Erosion control and drainage observations
• Landscape lighting and audio system function checks
• Irrigation performance checks and basic adjustments

If we identify a warranty-related item, we will address it under this warranty. If we identify something outside warranty or outside the original scope, we will review options with you before proceeding.

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Option A: Website Form

Submit a request through the LCI Landscapes website warranty request form and include the same details, including photo uploads. We will review your request and may schedule an on-site inspection to confirm cause and coverage.

Option B: Email

Email warranty@lcilandscapes.com with:

• Your name and project address
• Best phone number
• A clear description of the issue (when it started, what you’re noticing)
• Photos (and/or video if helpful)

What We Will Do (Remedy)

If a covered issue is confirmed during the applicable warranty period, LCI Landscapes will, at our discretion:

• Repair the affected work, and/or
• Replace the defective materials or affected plant material

Exclusions (Applies to all warranty items)

This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear, expected minor settling, or cosmetic variation that does not indicate installation failure
• Misuse, neglect, lack of maintenance, or alterations/repairs performed by others
• Acts of nature or events beyond our control
• Hidden or unknown site conditions (unknown utilities, buried debris, unstable soils, sinkholes, etc.) unless specifically addressed in writing
• Issues caused by drainage, erosion, soil movement, or grade changes not created by LCI workmanship

Important Terms

Payment in Full Requirement

This warranty applies once payment has been received in full, in accordance with the payment terms in your agreement.

Transferability (Homeownership Change)

This warranty is transferable one (1) time to a new homeowner for the remainder of the applicable warranty term, provided:

• The original contract has been paid in full
• LCI is notified of the ownership transfer, and the new owner agrees to these terms

Limitations

This warranty is limited to the remedies stated above. To the extent permitted by law, LCI Landscapes is not responsible for incidental or consequential damages (loss of use, inconvenience, additional costs, etc.).
